Spanish internet culture runs on memes, and a 'memero' is someone who creates or obsessively shares them. The '-ero/-era' suffix is how Spanish naturally creates 'person who does X' words (panadero = baker, memero = meme person). Spanish-language memes have their own ecosystem distinct from English: Latin American memes tend to feature screenshots from telenovelas, while Spanish memes lean heavily on political humor and self-deprecating jokes about being broke. WhatsApp is the primary meme distribution channel in Spain, not Reddit or Twitter.
