Pronunciation
/litiˈɡaːre/

Cultural Note
Italian arguments are often loud and animated but are not necessarily hostile. The cultural stereotype of passionate Italian disagreements is partly true -- heated discussions can end with an embrace. 'Litigare come cane e gatto' (to fight like cat and dog) is a common expression.
