Valentijnsdag is celebrated on February 14th in the Netherlands, though it is a relatively recent import and not as commercially dominant as in some countries. Many Dutch people consider it overly commercial, but restaurants and florists still see a spike in business. Some prefer the traditional Dutch 'Moederdag' (Mother's Day) or 'Vaderdag' (Father's Day) for expressing family love.
