'Najs' is simply the English word 'nice' spelled phonetically in Polish. It exploded in popularity through gaming culture and internet memes. Polish Gen Z uses English loanwords constantly, and 'najs' became one of the most adopted ones — short, easy, and expressive. It's used exactly like 'nice' in English — as a one-word reaction to good news. Some older Poles find the trend of Polonizing English words annoying ('Mów po polsku!'), while younger speakers see it as natural linguistic evolution. Similar adoptions include 'krejzi' (crazy) and 'lajk' (like).
