One of the most versatile slang verbs in Polish. 'Ogarnąć' literally means 'to encompass' but in slang it means everything from 'to clean up' to 'to understand' to 'to get your life together.' 'Ogarnij się' (get yourself together) is what your Polish friend says when you show up looking disheveled. 'Ogarniasz?' means 'do you get it?'
