Cultural Note
'Estação' means both 'season' and 'station' (bus, train, etc.). Brazil's four seasons are reversed from the Northern Hemisphere: summer is December-March, winter is June-September. However, much of Brazil near the equator experiences only two effective seasons — wet (chuvas) and dry (seca) — making the four-season model less relevant.
